The Best Free Apps For Soccer Scores (Reviewed!)

If you’re looking for the best free apps for soccer scores, you’ve come to the right place. At SKH, we have downloaded each of these free apps and used them over the course of a soccer game week.

Here, we rank each of the apps we tried out of ten and introduce you to the best free apps for soccer scores for iOS and Android.

SofaScore

Let’s begin with our top pick. We love SofaScore because it’s really well laid out and covers practically every soccer league imaginable, from the obscurities of Ugandan soccer to the riches of the EPL.

If there’s a soccer game happening, you can track it and follow updates on SofaScore, with details about lineups, standings, form, and various other metrics that keep you fully up to date.

The app works like a dream on Android and iOS and is the perfect companion for any soccer enthusiast. You can pin specific leagues and follow your favorite teams, ensuring you don’t miss any of the action out on the field.

SKH Rating: 8/10

LiveScore

There are many similarities between SofaScore and LiveScore, but the design of the LiveScore app is a little more basic, hence the lower rating. It’s still a great option on Android and iOS and keeps you up to date with all the latest scores.

LiveScore is actually endorsed by Cristiano Ronaldo, and they recently launched a sportsbook, too. It’s super easy to track your team’s scores and performances, no matter where you are in the world.

The LiveScore news section is also a great place to catch up with some of the latest news relating to your favorite teams and leagues, which is another tick in the LiveScore box. All in all, it’s a great place to discover the latest soccer results.

FlashScore

FlashScore is another popular soccer scores app, with millions of downloads on iOS and Android. The graphics are sleek and impressive, and there are lots of ways to keep up with your team in the app.

However, we found that FlashScore took significantly longer to load than the other apps that we tested, which was far from ideal when we entered the last minute of the game week fixtures, and were on the edge of our seats!

Still, FlashScore is highly rated by soccer fans and is another good option for keeping up to date with scores and results. If you experience update delays as we did, you can always choose a different app to download to your phone.

Download on Android or iOS.

OneFootball

OneFootball is a great app for keeping up to date with the latest matches from European soccer.

The aptly named OneFootball is all about soccer. You can follow your favorite teams to be notified of their latest scores, as well as any updates relating to their transfers, injuries, and other important club-related issues.

Our favorite thing about OneFootball is the detail in which they go into in the app. As well as the score of your team’s game, find out information about who made the assists, who scored the goals, and details relating to all other aspects of the action unfolding on the field.

With lots of super positive reviews on Google Play and Apple, OneFootball is the perfect companion for soccer fans all around the world and is a great place to get the latest soccer updates.

FotMob

FotMob has been downloaded more than 10 million times, highlighting just how popular this app is. It covers all soccer bases and also provides in-depth information regarding form, transfers, and injuries, as well as the latest scores.

Something that we particularly admire about FotMob is the fact that it’s available in multiple languages, which opens it up to soccer fans from non-English speaking parts of the world.

We love the sleek, green, and white interface too, and when we tested FotMob, there was very little that we didn’t like. Overall, it’s another great free option if you’re looking for an app to keep you up to date with the soccer world.

ESPN

Okay, so ESPN isn’t just an app for soccer scores, but it’s one of the leading sports apps in the world, and you can certainly use it to keep up to date with your favorite teams. The beauty of ESPN is that you can also check in with other sports at the same time.

If you’re a subscriber, you can also watch live sports action directly from the app, enabling you to watch live sports on the go. This is a clear advantage over other soccer apps, but it really depends on what you’re looking for in an app.

We recommend ESPN for people who want updates on other sports alongside soccer, but if you’re exclusively interested in soccer scores, one of the other apps already introduced will be more than sufficient.

SKH Rating 7/10

BBC Sport

The British version of ESPN, the BBC Sport app is a viable option if you’re a fan of British sports and teams. It’s also a good app for following the EPL and the lower English leagues, and most games come with detailed match reports.

The reason that we’ve given BBC Sport a low rating is that it’s not ideal for people who want to follow teams that play outside of the main leagues in Europe. Also, the BBC Sport app seems to lag, which isn’t ideal when you’re looking for real-time scores.

So, while the BBC Sport app is super popular in the UK, it’s not the best option for keeping up to date with soccer scores from around the world.

365Scores

Last but certainly not least on our list is 365Scores. This app presents you with a huge library of soccer leagues to follow, enabling you to select your favorite teams and receive notifications as and when they play.

You can access the latest news and information about the biggest leagues and teams in the world, and you can sign up for updates from obscure leagues, depending on your preference.

Overall, 365Scores is another great app to consider if you’re a big fan of soccer, and you won’t miss a kick if you turn your app notifications on.
